Snowkite Expedition
Progression Program
The goal of this progression program is to gradually share the wealth of knowledge we've accumulated over the years, empowering you to thrive in multi-day Arctic adventures and accelerate your progression to the next level.
These workshops are divided into four levels of difficulty and commitment:
Level 1
This is a 5 days introduction course designed for complete beginners, provided you can ski off-piste in various snow conditions. We'll kite as much as possible while covering all the essential skills needed for multi-day adventures: navigation, cold exposure management, riding with a pulka, and more. All nights will be spent in the comfort of a lodge.
Level 2
This is our first adventure in the wild—a 3 to 5-day trip where we’ll have the option to sleep in either a tent or a mountain cabin. The goal is to gradually acclimate to spending multiple nights in a tent, with the reassurance of a nearby mountain cabin if needed.
Level 3
This level involves a 5 to 10-day trip in full autonomy with all nights spent in a tent.
From here we enter the realm of type 2 fun.
Level 4
At this level, you will have achieved total autonomy, and we will be teammates for long and demanding expeditions.
* To participate in Level 1, it is highly recommended to have a solid skiing foundation, with the ability to ride in various snow conditions and carve, as it will be necessary to ride upwind and navigate diverse terrain. No prior kiting experience is necessary.
